Features
Airframe - The whole chassis is a unique and innovative design.  It is built entirely of 6061T6   tubing and plate.  We have eliminated the need for chromoly steel frame rails because our rails are so short between stress points and because they are bigger and thicker walled.  Our bottom frame rails extend from the nose wheel right back to the rear prop ring, and have a stainless steel bar mounted where they bend at the back.  This skid bar protects the frame rails and prevents the prop from ever getting close to the ground.  Our hoop frame design, once again with heavy duty tubing is simple, very strong, very reassuring and does not  obstruct your forward view like other roll protection bars of other company's models.  All the mainframe tubing is 1 & ½ inch x 1/8 inch wall for maximum strength.  The AN nuts and bolts we use are overkill and you will notice how simply the tubing bolts together and how strong this is!
Nose Wheel - Our nose wheel fork is designed with caster, and offset to stabilize ground steering.  This causes the cart to go straight unless the stick is used to turn.  The stick is conveniently placed and is totally intuitive.  Move it left to go left.  Move it right to go right.

Gas Tank - Gas tanks are available in 5 or 10 gallon sizes.  These rotationally molded tanks are made of a type of plastic that is virtually unbreakable, unlike fiberglass or aluminum tanks.  As it is a see through opaque tank, a small mirror allows you to view your fuel level at all times.

Cart ( Chasis ) Paint - Powder Coat.   Available in a selection of colors.

Seat/Harness Belts - Our belts are custom made to suit your size and needs.
Available in a selection of colors.

Tundra Tires  -  We do not use them, as they are larger, add extra unnecessary weight, and are really not needed with Sundog's excellent suspension system.

Instruments - The E.F.I. ( digital electronic flight instrument ) made by Taskam Corp. includes dual CHT or coolant temperature, dual EGT, tachometer, altimeter, rate of climb, flight time and accumulated hour meter.  The consol has, a large storage area for such things as cameras, cell phone, gloves, lunch etc.  A large convex mirror is mounted to view the chute, especially on kite up, taxiing and takeoff roll.

Assembly -  Sundog Powered Parachutes come fully assembled and ready to fly.  This includes completed engine break-in , rigging, and a test flight.

INDEX
Suspension
Our suspension is the heaviest duty of any PPC!  The heavy duty spring over gas shock will take the hardest landings, unlike spring
rod suspensions that are common in other PPC's.  Spring rods often break.

Engine Mounts
Our rubber engine mounts design is fashioned after the engine mounts in your car.  By having the rubber mounts on a 45 degree angle the energy from engine torque and vibration is focused directly onto the mounts.
Dual Controls   (Dual Seat Model)
The side by side seat configuration has obvious advantages over tandem ( front and back ).  For training purposes an instructor can easily see everything a student does and can take the controls in an instant.  Beyond training, the side by side seat makes flying with a companion more enjoyable.  There are two connected throttle control levers and two sets of connected foot bars.  Both pilot and student have full visibility of instruments, access to mag switches and hand manipulation of steering lines.
Center of Gravity   (C of G)
Instead of the common 2 pickup points, we incorporate side rails which allow for 4 pickup points creating a triangular effect on the 4 risers. This gives much greater stability than 2 points where the cart tends to seesaw under certain conditions.  While the 4 stainless steel brackets that connect the risers are infinitely adjustable, once they are set for center of gravity at the factory they won't need to be adjusted again. This is because our design made sure that the center of gravity  longitudinally stays the same, centered through where the pilot and
and passenger sit and also  the center of the fuel tank. This means it doesn't matter whether 1 or 2 persons fly , what their weight is, or whether the fuel tank is full or empty.  The C of G is always the same and doesn't need adjustment.  You may choose between  4 webbing risers or 4 steel cable risers.
When flying solo the pilot straddles the consol and sits in the center of the bench seat.  All controls are designed to accommodate all scenarios.
Most powered parachute manufacturers really skimp on their seats and consequently your comfort suffers.  Sundog felt you would want a seat that would enable both you and a passenger to be perfectly comfortable for a 2 or 3 hour flight.  Therefore we made our seats huge in comparison to others.
Whether a dual or a single seater, our seats give you lasting comfort.  They are upholstered with 3 inch heavy duty foam for the seat and 2 inch foam for the back!  Compare that to the competition. Bad back?  Like being scrunched up?  Sit in theirs.  Sit in ours.  You will notice a big difference!   Our high back also dampens engine noise and gives you a headrest.

Upholstery available in a selection of colors.

Seat - There is a problem inherent with 2 bucket seats, side by side, in  powered parachutes.  What if one person is big and heavy and the other is small?  Won't the lateral center of gravity and stability suffer? - Yes, some!  However Sundog has solved this problem very simply - a bench seat!  Our dual bench seat allows slight lateral positioning and that is all that is needed to perfectly balance the craft. If you are the bigger person just slide one or two inches toward center and the lighter person one or two inches toward the edge.  That's all that is needed!   Even when flying solo you can use this method to offset takeoff torque.
